[ 2011 contest rules ] 1. Each comedian MUST be a resident of Orange County, California as of September 1, 2011 or MUST have been born in Orange County, California or MUST have graduated from high school or college in Orange County, California or MUST have be employed for least 30 hours per week (as of September 1, 2011) in Orange County, California. Proof of O.C. residence or birth or graduation or OC employment is needed (utility bill, voter registration, birth certificate, diploma, employment proof etc). 2. Each comedian must submit entries ONLINE. Email to info4@ocfunniest.com a bio/resume and a link to an online video of their comedy of at least 8 minutes.3. Teams of two comedians (improv or standup) are welcomed. Teams can not be larger than two comedians. NOTE - teams must have tapes showing them performing together. 4. Each comedian must submit link to online video, resume and/or contact info, and proof of O.C. residence or birth or graduation or school attendance no later than September 30, 2011. Email to info4@ocfunniest.com 5. The contest committee will pick 50 comedians for the contest. The comedians names will be posted on this website on October 1, 2011. 6. The 50 comedians will perform (10 per show) in the five preliminary rounds. Each comedian will get 7 minutes. 7. For each of the five preliminary rounds, 1/2 audience vote and 1/2 individual judges will choose four comedians to advance to the semi final round. 8. There will be two semi final rounds. There are ten comedians per semi final round. Each comedian will get 8 minutes. 1/2 audience vote and 1/2 individual judges will choose four comedians per semi final round to advance to the final round. 9. The eight comedians (4 per semifinal round) of the final round will get 10 minutes each. 10. 1/2 audience vote and 1/2 individual judges of the final round will choose the top four comedians. The prize money is as follows:
